When The Dorsey opened in December 2016, Caputa knew a bar like The Dorsey was exactly where he wanted to hone and perfect his craft. In 2009, like many in the industry, Caputa went through the ups and downs of the financial crisis but again quickly worked his way up back to a full-time, number two spot as a bartender on The Venetian casino floor. His hard work and upbeat personality earned him a fulltime shift at The Palazzo in 2008. In 2005, Caputa was hired as a seasonal bartender at The Venetian pool while still maintaining his role and responsibilities at Sunset Station. Within a year, he was asked to take on more responsibility to train new bartenders at Sunset Station, a request he gladly accepted. After a year in the bar assistant role, Caputa was promoted to a bartender. He instantly loved the fast-paced environment and guest interaction. On his first day in the city, he was hired as a bar assistant at Sunset Station. Ready for a change of scenery and a gut feeling he would be a great bartender, Caputa moved to Las Vegas in 2001.
